Adopt a Senior
Imagine if your elderly parents or grandparents were all alone and unable to make their own meals. Wouldn’t you be grateful to someone who brought prepared meals to their home?
Well, that someone is us…….Meals on Wheels, Etc.!
Meet Maybelle – she is 93 year old who lives alone. She manages fairly well with the help of Meals on Wheels, Etc. She says the meals are good and they help her maintain a healthy diet.
There are close to 300 homebound residents (average age 80) in Seminole County who are on a waiting list for meals. Most of the seniors who receive home-delivered meals live below the poverty level, struggling to make ends meet every month. They want to live in their own homes and communities for as long as possible. They can accomplish this with a little support from all of us.
So, we are asking you to help us eliminate unnecessary hunger by participating in the March for Meals campaign to raise awareness and help eliminate elderly hunger!
