VOLUNTEER
ABOUT VOLUNTEERING
Seniors are always in need of a helping hand, creating a wide range of opportunities where you can make a difference. From delivering meals to their homes, being a neighborhood dining helper, or a volunteer in our kitchen to helping with fundraising events and Christmas Day meal delivery, each one of these roles are incredibly important to our seniors in order to stave off hunger and isolation during the sunset years of their lives. Also, if you are handy with tools or enjoy working with your hands, this is a great opportunity to volunteer your skills for home improvements and general chores that our seniors struggle with on a daily basis.
ARE YOU READY TO VOLUNTEER?
Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience and our dedicated volunteers are rewarded each and every day by providing their time, talent and heart to our clients. To learn more about our volunteer opportunities, contact us today. All volunteers must complete an on-line application form to begin the process.
If you have any questions, please contact Dawn Garrison, Community Relations Coordinator by email [email protected] or call (407) 333-8877, ext. 103.

Home-Delivered Meals
If you have wheels, we have meals that need to be delivered. Delivering meals is easy and rewarding. You pick up the meals at one of our local neighborhood distribution sites and you're off. We have over 30 routes covering Seminole County, each route has 8-12 clients and takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete.
Neighborhood Dining
If you are crafty, like to play games or enjoy interacting with others, volunteering at one of our Neighborhood Dining sites might be right for you. Here you will help serve meals, teach a skill or craft, and/or share stories with the clients.
Home Chores
Do you like working outside? Volunteers and volunteer teams provide assistance to seniors with home maintenance tasks such as: yard work, pressure washing and grab bar installation.
Kitchen/Food Prep (Currently On Hold)
If food is your passion, our kitchen volunteers play a vital role by volunteering in our kitchen, helping to package meals for delivery to seniors in our community. Kitchen shifts are generally done in four hours (8 am-noon). All volunteer must wear gloves and hairnets (which are provided) and closed-toe non-slip shoes.
