TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Meals on Wheels offers door to door transportation to neighborhood dining and shopping (as available) to ensure that our seniors maintain healthy and active lives. Our transportation services are a vital part in combating isolation and loss of other vital social skills in our seniors, and we are proud to offer them this option. These services are available Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm and on a first-come, first-served basis.
NOT JUST FOR SENIORS
Meals on Wheels delivers nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack meals for private schools, childcare and adult daycare programs throughout Central Florida. Catering for private parties, weddings and other special events can be coordinated with our Executive Chef, Delaño Lambertclare.
HOME ASSISTANCE
We also offer our Seminole County seniors a helping hand with their homes, with services both inside and outside of the home.
Our homemaking services (license #233369) covers general housekeeping/laundry. This service is offered twice a month for two hours to homebound seniors.
Our chore services include help with yard cleanup, pressure washing, and installation of grab bars. The work is provided by generous, community minded volunteers, and includes individuals, company teams and civic organizations.
Home weatherization is also available to qualified seniors' homes. As our seniors age, these normally simple tasks become a burden, and we strive to relieve them from the stress so that they can better enjoy their time while keeping their home safe and clean.
WEATHERIZATION SERVICES
The Weatherization Assistance Program aims at lowering the monthly energy burden on low-income households by improving the energy efficiency of the home. All work to be proposed must fall within a specific budget. The Weatherization Program is open to homeowners of all ages in Seminole County who meet certain criteria and income eligibility guidelines. Please contact us to see if you qualify to apply.
